Jersey Empire is more than just a game—it’s an Island-Wide Adventure designed to get you outdoors, exploring the hidden gems and iconic landmarks of Jersey. Whether you're a local or a visitor, our mission is to:

• Educate & Inspire: Learn about Jersey's rich history, from medieval castles to Occupation landmarks.
• Well-being: Enjoy the fresh air and stunning scenery while staying active with friends and family.
• Challenge: Compete in a fun, real-world Empire experience that tests your strategy and island knowledge.

🎮 How to Play

Ready to start your conquest? Here is the professional step-by-step guide:

1. Book Your Session: Log into your dashboard and book a date for your adventure.
2. The Start Line: On your game day, head to Royal Square in St. Helier between 08:00 and 18:00.
3. Launch the App: Open play.cardoso.uk, log in, and press "START EMPIRE".
4. Explore & Conquer: Use the live map to find landmarks. Arrive within 75m to unlock challenges and the option to "BUY" the spot.
5. Collect Rent: If another team lands on your landmark, they pay you rent automatically!
6. Watch the Clock: The session ends at 18:00. Check the Live Standings to see your final rank!

🏆 The Objective

The winner is the team with the Highest Net Worth (Empire Cash + Property Value) at the end of the day. Every landmark you buy and every rent you collect brings you closer to the crown!

⏰ Session Hours

Jersey Empire sessions run from 08:00 to 18:00 local time on your booked event date. The game map and features are strictly active during these hours.

• 7 Days a Week: Sessions are available every day of the week.
• Daily Reset: At 18:00, the daily session ends, scores are archived, and the board resets for the next day.

💰 Your Starting Kit

Every team starts their adventure with £1,500 in digital Empire Money. Use it wisely!

📍 Landmarks & Buying

The map is covered in 26 iconic Jersey spots aligned with the official Board Game.

• 75m Radius: You must be within 75 meters of a marker to interact with it.
• Own the Island: Once you buy a spot, it belongs to you!
• Fog of War: Ownership is hidden until you physically arrive at a landmark. 🤫

🎲 Interactive Challenges

The Empire Nexus keeps the game dynamic with automatic events:

• Chance Cards (Every 30m): A random pop-up will appear on your screen every 30 minutes with a surprise reward or fine!
• Landmark Challenges: Every time you arrive at a new landmark, a challenge will automatically appear. Solve trivia or take group selfies to earn Empire Cash! 📸 🎲

🏁 Passing GO

Pass through Royal Square to collect a £200 bonus! This bonus can only be collected once every 3 hours.

🚔 The Jail House

Wait 20 minutes to be released for free, or pay £50 Bail. You must stay within 50m of your jail spot or the timer restarts!

💸 Rent Multipliers

Strategic ownership increases your income!

• Full Set Bonus: Own all landmarks in a color group to Double (2x) the rent for every property in that set!
• Transport Tycoon: The more Stations you own, the higher the fees. Fees double for every additional station added to your empire (Up to 8x). ✈️
• Utility Mogul: Own multiple Utilities (Telecom, Water, Electricity) to double your service fees for each one held. ⚡
• Automatic Rent: Fees are still deducted automatically when you arrive at an opponent's landmark.

• Tide Safety: Always consult tide tables before visiting Elizabeth Castle or Corbière Lighthouse!
• No Trespassing: Do not enter private land or restricted areas. Stick to public footpaths and roads.
• Historical Respect: Be mindful of Jersey's historic monuments and landmarks. No climbing on structures.
• Group Integrity: Teams must remain together at all times. Participants under 16 must be supervised.
